I also honor it, because it was one of the first pieces of musical media that gave black people a name and representation in music.”

I really appreciate Mr. Dapice for teaching us about how many different types of music are related to each other. One example is jazz to hip hop. Hip hop is actually a “next generation of jazz.” Honestly, it fascinates me to now see and hear how these styles are related.
